Women in Ethiopia demonstrate decision-making power and autonomy. Although quantitative associations between women’s autonomy and facility-based delivery and ANC use are statistically insignificant, qualitative evidence suggests that women, particularly young and urban women, have a strong sense of their personal autonomy and are willing to take charge of their health decision-making.
