Premature Cardiovascular Disease Following a History of Hypertensive Disorder of Pregnancy

Women with a history of HDP were more likely to have a higher burden of traditional risk factors for the development of cardiovascular disease compared to women with prior normotensive pregnancies, and were more likely to present with ACS at a younger age. This study reinforces that in women with cardiovascular disease care providers should question a history of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, given the strong association.
