Risk Factors of Pre-Eclampsia/Eclampsia and Its Adverse Outcomes in Low- and Middle-Income Countries: A WHO Secondary Analysis

Overall, 4 percent of the study population developed pre-eclampsia. Maternal age of 30 years or older, maternal obesity, chronic hypertension, gestational diabetes, and cardiac or renal diseases were found to be more commonly associated with the development of pre-eclampsia.
